Two Blocks North was inspired by a passion for garden design I inherited from my late Mum who was happiest when she was out in the garden or inside decorating our home. I learnt so much from her about plants, what to plant where and how to nurture them. Now I’m carrying on this passion creating beautiful gardens in the various homes we have lived in.

I’m known for finding potential in just about anything and get a huge kick out of my “before and after” pictures I’ve collected over the years. I’m a big believer that anyone can have a beautiful garden. They don’t have to cost a fortune and perfecting an area of your home or garden takes time. As I tell myself, try to be patient and enjoy the journey!

i thrive on a challenge (pardon the pun)

I love designing great looking gardens for my clients that are tailored to their lifestyle, love or dislike of regular gardening and to the climate they live in. Energy bills can be expensive so I work where possible to reduce these by clever garden schemes, shading systems and deciduous plantings to take advantage of the winter sun at the same time keeping a beautiful aesthetic top of mind.

Specialising in drought tolerant gardens that can be low maintenance yet beautiful, I identify the things that are most important to clients. Busy lifestyles can mean it feels like “all the balls are in the air”. Often this means the things we enjoy doing the most have to take a back seat. Talk to me about easy care gardens that you will love spending time in rather than always working in or avoiding working in.

Your garden should embody what you love. If a veggie garden is on your wish list or a play area for the kids, ask me for ideas.
